About the Prints

The prints on this website are available for purchase. These images can be printed as archival pigment prints (or giclée prints) and come unframed, but are mounted in hinged, museum-quality mats, ready to pop into a frame. The photographer's signature and print title are in pencil on the mat, in the traditional manner.

Most prints are also available as HD Metal Prints on ChromaLuxe aluminum panels. These archival prints are printed using the dye-sublimation process. A number of wall mounting options are available

Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. If you are interested in ordering a print, please list the title and use the email form in the Contact section to request a specific price quote. We will respond right away.

About Archival Pigment or Giclée Prints

The Terms : The terms "archival pigment print" or "giclée print" refer to high quality, permanent, fine art prints. Images are generated from high resolution files and printed with archival quality inks onto archival papers.

The Process : These prints are created using an 8-Color Epson inkjet printer. This modern technology printer is capable of producing incredibly detailed prints.

The Quality : Archived digital files will not deteriorate in quality as negatives and film inherently do. The quality and permanence of the these prints rival or exceed traditional silver-halide and gelatin printing processes and they are commonly found in museums, art galleries, and photographic galleries.

The Market : Numerous examples of these prints can be found in New York City at the Metropolitan Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Chelsea Galleries. Recent auctions of archival pigment or giclée prints have fetched $10,800 for Annie Leibovitz, $9,600 for Chuck Close, and $22,800 for Wolfgang Tillmans (April 23/24 2004, Photographs, New York, Phillips de Pury & Company.)
